Common questions

Answers before you start

Small clarifications that help you trust this space with your family's stories.

Where is my data stored?

Your uploads live on the server you're signed into. Files are private to your account — no other user can list them, download them, or ask questions against them. In guest mode, everything stays scoped to your browser session.

Who can see my documents and answers?

Only you, unless you explicitly share a link. Every share link is scoped to a single answer or document, and you can revoke it any time from your dashboard.

Does the AI ever invent details?

No. Every answer is grounded in the text extracted from your uploads and cites the source document. If the archive doesn't contain the answer, you'll be told so rather than getting a made-up response.

Can I try it without signing up?

Yes — Guest Mode lets you upload a few files and ask questions right away. Sign up later only if you want your documents to persist across devices and to unlock groups, reminders, and RSVPs.

Which file types are supported?

PDFs, images (JPG, PNG, WEBP), plain text, and common web pages. Handwritten letters and scanned photos are read with an OCR pass, so even old cursive is picked up.

How do family groups and RSVPs work?

Create a group, invite relatives by email, and add occasions like birthdays or anniversaries. Everyone gets gentle reminders, can RSVP yes / no / maybe, and see a shared countdown page for each event.
